ON THE ROCKS BOX!

Our Baristas

Sue
Sue's subscription box plan is for things to cozy up your home. She's been inspired by favorite pubs and tea houses in the UK where throw cushions are prevalent! Bright and clear colors plus blues are her general go-to but you can definitely let her know your preferred home color themes in the notes section! Colorwork, cables, and mixing in fabric with yarn won't be ruled out when coming up with projects....
LINDA
If you know Linda, you know she loves interesting techniques. She can incorporate a fun technique into hats, cowls, mittens, shawls … you name it! She also is the queen of pairing colors. Linda helps all of us get out of our typical color box. She loves deeper tones and considers a new project a shot of adrenaline! We’ve also noticed Linda holding a strand of mohair alongside most fibers. Her mantra is, “I’ve never met a project that mohair doesn’t love!”
ASHLEY
While scrolling through Instagram, beautiful knit hats always cause Ashley to pause and click. Interesting designs, colorwork, and squishy yarn make the best hats according to Ashley. She loves choosing two or more bright, eye-catching colors in DK or worsted weights and pairing them with a fun, new hat from a talented designer. Ashley always has a long-term project next to her sofa to work on while she considers her next short-term project
BECKY
Wool blends are Becky’s favorite. She’s been learning how each blend and variety of wool behaves when paired with certain patterns. She’s also been known to create with cotton and linen when the temperatures start to rise. Projects for babies and kids are favorites of Becky’s right now. She’s living her best grandmother life! Neutral colors always grab Becky’s attention, and she always has multiple projects going – something challenging, something easy, and something super portable
MEREDITH
Meredith, our newest yarn barista, enjoys small, simple projects that move quickly on and off her needles. You may notice her favorite pinks or grays incorporated into hats, cowls or shawls. Meredith loves working with wool and often holds another fiber alongside it for extra softness. She is not afraid of a little “un-knitting” or “tinking” to fix a problem and views this as extra practice!
SARA
You will most likely find Sara knitting a pair of socks with a skein of her favorite sock yarn in shades of blues, greens, or grays. She loves the portability of socks on her needles and looks for a good “bounce” when choosing yarn. Sara knows that hand-knit socks are always sure to fit! She considers knitting therapeutic, but also enjoys a good game of Scrabble.
