We hear that all the time, but figuring out how to do it is another thing. Michelle Hunter aka KnitPurlHunter has put together the perfect way build your knitting skills and your knitting confidence! The Building Blocks Blanket class will do just that! You'll learn one square at a time. Yarn Bar has recruited an expert on both knitting AND Zoom, Cindy Dell.
DATES FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS:
May 13: Making chevrons using using knits and purls
June 10: Making texture using knit & purl stitches by reading a chart
July 8: Making lace using yarn overs and bobbles
Aug 12: Making Simple lace using simple decreases and yarn overs
Sept 9: Making Cables
Oct 7: Making pretty texture using a right twist stitch
MATERIALS:
Building Blocks Book
12 skeins of an aran weight. Each block requires about 140 yds of aran.
Size 10.5 needles
Stitch markers
Ruler (12 inches)
Blunt tapestry needle
Cable needle
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Cast on and Bind off, Knit, Purl, The rest will be taught.

Cindy Dell Bio
Cindy Dell has been knitting for over 50 years and was taught to knit by her Norwegian Grandmother. She has been in the fiber arts for many years, as a quilt maker, knitter, crocheter, spinner, weaver, knitwear designer and dyer. If you have a Ravelry account, you can find her as CindyAnn there, and see some of the things she has knit and designed. She also moderates the Yarn Bar Patrons Board on Ravelry. Also, Cindy is completing the third level of the Master Knitter Program.

Cindy has a doctorate in adult learning and taught in the College of Education at Montana State University Billings for 30 years. She taught mostly online classes and was a mentor for new faculty who were just beginning to teach online. Using her expertise in online learning and teaching, she has taught two previous knitting classes for Yarn Bar online through Zoom.
