Soto Crochet Sweater Class
Saturdays, April 1, 8 & 15 • 1 - 3pm
This textured summer pullover by Junko Okamoto is full of fun crochet techniques you'll use on all the other projects!
This is an Advanced Crochet Pattern, and you must be very comfortable with these 5 basic crochet stitches: sst, ch,sc, hdc and dc. You will be reading patterns and learning sweater construction.,
Pattern note: SOTO sweater is worked flat in pieces. For each body, first make a rib on the sideway, then pick up the stitches from the side to complete the body in the bottom up. After working all the pieces, sew them together. Pick up the stitches from the body in a round, then make the neck rib on the sideway.
Supplies: You'll need the pattern, and it calls for an aran or worsted weight yarn, but teacher Jennifer adapted hers for a lighter weight yarn, Elsbeth Lavold Hempathy. She used 11 skeins.
