Tulip Guernsey June 13, 20, 27
5:30 - 7:30pm
This is an in-person class, with Lindsey as your instructor. Lindsey's last class requested a cabled sweater for their next project and we've selected this fun design by Midori Hirose.
The cables of the tulip pattern pull the stitches in between to each side and produce little holes like lace eyelets. They look like tulip stamens and the result is lovely! The shoulders, separately cast on using the cable cast-on method, are joined so that the characteristic neat edges are visible.
When you look at the project page, you will see a variety of yarn weights featured. Our sample is done in Fibre Co. Luma, which is in a DK weight. It allows for some drape and looseness when it is worn. However, you may want to choose combining lighter weight yarns to achieve gauge. Please feel free to ask us for advice!
