We obviously have a lot of love for yarn; we chose to open a yarn shop because of it! But we haven't kept all of the yarns we've brought into the shop over the years, even though we would if we could (ha!) There's one yarn that we saw at our very first yarn market that has stayed with us ever since, and that's Merino No. 5 from Loopy Mango.
You'd think this could be a yarn that we couldn't keep forever because these balls are honestly quite large, and when space is at a premium or you need to bring in a new line of yarn to benefit your customers, the big stuff might not fit in so well. But everyone loves it - soft, squishy, irresistible colors, big (quick) stitches - it's great instant gratification for all levels of knitters, and there are some terrific patterns out there to encourage sweater makers.
Sue's girl has chosen it a few times (she shared here) - -
- and here's her most recent finished cardi, the Carlisle Cardigan from Tara Lynn Morrison.
There's a brand new purple, and we stock Dream also - a little sister to Merino No. 5. Dream handles a variety of needle sizes, and it's fun to marl together. Ask us for The Artist Sweater pattern, free with Dream yarn purchase (all Loopy Mango patterns are available from us when you purchase the yarn!).
Linda's daughter Alice loves this yarn too - and she just finished a couple of adorable stockings, topped off with Knit Collage, another fun super bulky.
From hats to scarves to stockings to sweaters, and everything in between; if you're looking for a very quick and cozy project, our beloved Loopy Mango yarns are your ticket.
