Mini-Sock Workshops
12–3 PM • $45 for one workshop or $80 for both
Ready to dip your toes into sock knitting? Start small! In this three-hour workshop, you’ll make a mini sock while learning the techniques you’ll need to tackle a full-sized pair.
CHOOSE YOUR TECHNIQUE:
October 17 — Cuff Down
Learn the classic cuff-down construction, from the cuff through the heel and toe.
November 14 — Toe Up
Try the toe-up approach and learn how the construction differs from cuff-down socks.
Take both and learn two ways to knit a sock—because why settle for one when you can have options?
A Few Things to Know
You must be comfortable with the basics, but no sock-knitting experience is okay. You should know casting on, knitting, purling, working decreases and knitting in the round.
Both workshops use Magic Loop, so you’ll need a 32" US 2 circular needle.
A pattern will be provided in class. One skein of sock yarn is plenty for the mini sock, with enough left over to knit a full pair of socks.
Come make a tiny sock, learn some new tricks, and get ready for the big leagues.
