With a morning temperature of 44 degrees today, it's definitely feeling like sweaterweather! So perfect timing for this blog . . .
In the shop we have samples of three sizes of the One Sweater from The Fibre Co. through early October. This classic gender-neutral pattern comes in a range of 13 sizes from child's age 1-2 to adult 54-56". The Fibre Co.'s founder, Daphne Marinopoulos, said that the goal for this sweater was to create a go-to sweater for everybody. It's an approachable straightforward design with top-down, raglan shaping, and some short rows for fit at the back. A tubular cast-on and cast-off finish it nicely, and might stretch your skills a bit. We've tried the sweaters on and are here to say that we love them! We each wore the size 38-40.
Silas sat still for just a minute...he's wearing the size 2-4.
Our friend Angi borrowed the size 10-12; she had her daughter Senja take Ansel Alpaca out to join the photo-op. Looks like alpacas love the sweater too!
Part of the sweater love is for the gorgeous Cumbria worsted yarn that's used. It's a blend of two different wool breeds (Masham and Merino) and 10% mohair. We have a beautiful range in sweater quantities so you can make your own classic. The hardest part will be picking the perfect color.
