This little piggy went to class—and came home knowing a ridiculous number of knitting techniques. The Little Pig Purse by Cindy Pilon is an adorable felted purse, but don’t let the cute face fool you: this project is packed with skills.

Taught by Paul Haesemeyer, this three-session class takes you from snout to tail and through a whole herd of techniques. You’ll knit in the round with DPNs, tackle short rows and shaping, pick up stitches for the legs, ears, and tail, and learn how to felt and shape your finished pig. Then comes the purse-making magic: installing the eyes and nostrils, sewing in a zipper, and attaching the handles.
