Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK

Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK could be a good band name, but for us it’s the three lines of hand-dyed yarn we have stocked from Great Falls-based Farmers Daughter Fibers.

Pishkun is a fairly new yarn for FDF. It’s made with Montana and Wyoming raised Rambouillet wool which is processed into yarn by our friend Karen and her team at Mountain Meadow Wool Mill in Buffalo WY, then dyed in Great Falls by the Farmer’s Daughter crew. It is a heavy DK-to-light worsted weight yarn, so perfect and squishy for lots of sweater patterns.

Mighty Mo is hand dyed mohair and silk. This fiber blend takes dye beautifully and is fantastic to carry along with another yarn or to use on its own.

Finally, Juicy DK is a best seller for FDF. This one's a superwash, which is a nice base for dyers to put lots of speckly colors into. If you want to be part of the "fade craze", it's an easy one to put in your fade mix for whatever the project is.

Cheers to Local Yarn! We are proud to welcome Farmers Daughter Fibers to our lineup of EIGHT Montana and Wyoming yarn companies.
