Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK

Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK could be a good band name, but for us it’s the three lines of hand-dyed yarn we have stocked from Great Falls-based Farmers Daughter Fibers.  Pishkun is a fairly new yarn for FDF. It’s made with Montana and Wyoming raised Rambouillet wool which is processed into yarn by our friend Karen and her team at Mountain Meadow Wool Mill in Buffalo WY, then dyed in Great Falls by the Farmer’s Daughter crew. It is a heavy DK-to-light worsted weight yarn, so perfect and squishy for lots of sweater patterns.  Mighty Mo is hand dyed...

Yarn Bar Rotator: Second Edition "Touch the West"

Mountain Meadow Wool is very dear to us.  First of all, the mill is practically a next door neighbor out here in this neck of the woods! So the three and a half hour drive on the wide open highway to Buffalo WY made for a great day trip in mid May, and it was our very first official yarn order for the shop.
