Our friend Karen knits a lot. She's knit several samples for us, taught quite a few classes, and possibly knits in her sleep - haha. Valentines 2021

Every year I get the urge to knit Valentine themed things. Unfortunately, February 14 falls a little too close to the end of December when all that holiday excitement has passed and I kinda want to think only about myself instead of others . . . so it isn't on my mind really until about the 10th of January. Bang It Out '21

Celebrate the shortest month of the year with a challenge to start & finish a decent sized project in four weeks!  Modern Daily Knitting began organizing this in 2016 by encouraging the knitting of a specific sweater. If you're a regular reader of our weekly emails, you've probably noticed our random questions at the very end of each one. Those generally get sent to the group on the morning the email goes out and can generate some group text chatter. The one that created the most in December was "What was your favorite toy?" We Like Nuts Spicy or Sweet

SUE'S FAVORITE SPICED PECANS Quick to make and a great gift! Be sure to give these plenty of tossing and drying room. Preheat oven to 325 F. Combine the following spices in a small bowl & set aside ~~ 1/2 teaspoon:  ground cumin, chili powder, curry powder, & garlic salt 1/4 teaspoon:  cayenne pepper, ground ginger, ground cinnamon Heat 2 T olive oil in a skillet over low heat.
