The One Sweater

With a morning temperature of 44 degrees today, it's definitely feeling like sweaterweather! So perfect timing for this blog . . . In the shop we have samples of three sizes of the One Sweater from The Fibre Co. through early October. This classic gender-neutral pattern comes in a range of 13 sizes from child's age 1-2 to adult 54-56". The Fibre Co.'s founder, Daphne Marinopoulos, said that the goal for this sweater was to create a go-to sweater for everybody. Sweet Words

"It is a kind of love, is it not? How the wool hugs the needles" I just read a little essay by Michelle Edwards, whose writing is charming and sweet. Wool hugging the needles is such a nice picture that we thought it nice to share it here so we can all revisit it from time to time.  She was inspired by a poem:  The Patience of Ordinary Things We wish you many hugs as you work your stitches one by one, and may your ordinary stitches turn into extraordinary hats, blankets, pillows, sweaters, and everything in between.

Every time we see our logo formatted onto something new we positively beam with pride. And then we count our blessings for the talented Jim Heins (Heins Creative) who took our vision and created the mark (yep, he's married to Linda but Sue thinks his professional and artistic eye plus professional EXPERIENCE was top-notch when logo development was all happening).
