As we take stock of things before heading to Market we wish to THANK YOU again  for supporting your local yarn shop. We know without a doubt that shopping online is quite a lot easier than making the effort to leave the comforts of home and head out to a brick and mortar shop. Spotlight on Art House Cinema

Thank goodness Billings has the Art House Cinema! We've utilized this space twice now and what a fun way to have a stitch night - some pre-movie socializing, great drinks and snacks, a nice little escape from weeknight routine, and home by 9:00. Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK

Pishkun, Mighty Mo, and the Juicy DK could be a good band name, but for us it’s the three lines of hand-dyed yarn we have stocked from Great Falls-based Farmers Daughter Fibers.  Pishkun is a fairly new yarn for FDF. It’s made with Montana and Wyoming raised Rambouillet wool which is processed into yarn by our friend Karen and her team at Mountain Meadow Wool Mill in Buffalo WY, then dyed in Great Falls by the Farmer’s Daughter crew. It is a heavy DK-to-light worsted weight yarn, so perfect and squishy for lots of sweater patterns.  Mighty Mo is hand dyed...

Spring Summer '19 Fibre Co. Foundations

Aren't these lovely! The Fibre Company sent us their trunk show of lightweight sweaters and wraps knit with Meadow, Luma, or Cumbria Fingering and we think all the designs are very wearable and knitable. Seacote (featured on the fancy dress) is rhythmic garter stitch and simple lace panels knit in drapey laceweight Meadow (40% Merino, 25% baby llama, 20% silk, 15% linen). The sweet edging is knitted on at the end. Eartha Bee is a timeless cardigan with twisted rib front edgings knit with Cumbria Fingering (60% merino wool, 30% masham wool, 10% mohair).
