Mini Bar mini report

We're expecting!!! A Yarn Bar expansion! We've talked about it in our email for a couple of weeks, posted a few pictures on social media stories and in our videos, but here it is in Blog Format...... The Mini Bar is in a completely separate building a short walk east of the shop at 2020 Grand, Suite 8. It consists of two rooms and a small bathroom; one room will function as our classroom and the other will be office/storage. We need both, as you can see from this pic of our "office" today. The classroom table in the shop...

Grandbaby No. 3!!!

Linda just became a Nana to the 3rd power!   Three cheers for the arrival of Elise Henrietta Frank on June 11! She joins big brother 3 year old Silas and everyone's settling in well. Mom Alice (Linda's daughter) is doing great  - she said she's even surprised at how well she's feeling. Elise has very long fingers and long feet. Our predictions: Piano player or ball player (and a very good knitter!) Dishcloth Refresh Rehash

"All handknit dishcloths go to heaven. They are all good." says Ann from Mason Dixon Knitting. But time, and people always spilling things on counters, take their toll on a dishcloth. Seems like everyone on both ends of the mail route enjoyed the process. Some traveled across several state lines (California and New Jersey!). Some were more elaborate than others. All were a perfect handmade treat for an unknown knitter who appreciates the virtues...

Kestrel Trunk Show

We are lucky to have several beautiful garments in shop to inspire your next project using Kestrel, the aran weight organic linen from Quince & Co.  We personally were in love with Kestrel when we received the first shipment to the shop last spring. It's an aran weight organic linen that creates beautiful texture and drape in finished garments. And you all loved it too, since several Mira and Deschain tops-to-be hopped onto needles. Sue wore Mira all summer and Meredith looks so pretty in her Deschain! These two tops are patterns we would make again, and we are lucky...
